Indications for conducting the study
- pain in the lower back;
- lower abdominal pain;
- pains and cuts during urination;
- frequent urination;
- blood in the urine;
- protein in the urine;
- kidney injuries;
- cystic manifestations in the anamnesis;
- presence of inflammatory processes;
- suspicion of neoplasms.
Ultrasound of the urinary system is performed transabdominally.

Preparation for the examination of the urinary system
Adults are recommended to drink 1-1.5 liters of water or other liquid one hour before the ultrasound examination. Children should be given water to drink 20 minutes before the ultrasound. Do not urinate before the procedure.
