  • Contraindication

    Contraindications: TWINRIX ™ should not be administered to persons with hypersensitivity to the components or neomycin, as well as to persons who have shown signs of hypersensitivity after the first administration of TWINRIX ™ vaccine or monovalent vaccines for the prevention of hepatitis A and B. As with other vaccines, administration of TWINRIX ™ vaccine should be delayed in individuals with acute febrile illness.

  • Side effects

    Side effects: after vaccination, a feeling of fatigue, headache, weakness, fever, nausea, redness, tightness at the injection site, pain at the injection site may be observed. In the presence of mechanical inclusions or a strange color of the suspension, the use of the vaccine is unacceptable.

Application

Application: TWINRIX ™ vaccine is intended for injection into the deltoid muscle of the upper limb in adults and older children. Children under three years of age receive the vaccine in the anterior-lateral part of the thigh. Before vaccination, an examination of the child is indicated, to exclude contact with SARS patients. Patients should be under medical supervision for 30 minutes after administration of the vaccine.

    Indications: TWINRIX ™ vaccine is indicated for vaccination of unvaccinated children (age 1 year and older), adolescents and adults for the prevention of hepatitis A and B.
