Fecal analysis per I/g (once) is a fecal analysis, which is the most accessible and informative method of diagnosing the presence of helminth eggs in the fecal masses in the lower parts of the digestive tract.

  • Indications for analysis
    determination of the presence of helminth eggs and protozoan parasites; monitoring the effectiveness of treatment against parasites; decreased appetite, weight loss; blood and mucus in feces; prolonged constipation; itching in the area of the anus; intestinal disorders; flatulence.
  • How to prepare for the analysis?
    There is no special preparation for stool analysis. A sterile container is used to collect feces, which can be purchased at a pharmacy or "Mamin Dom" polyclinic. Feces are collected in the form of 1/2 teaspoon after natural defecation. It is forbidden to do an enema to collect feces. Avoid getting urine and genital secretions into the feces. 1 week before taking a stool test for helminth eggs, rectal suppositories and antidiarrheal medications should be stopped.
    After stool collection, the material must be delivered to the laboratory within 2 hours.
