The vaccine is administered once in a dose of 0.5 ml. The vaccine is intended for deep intramuscular injection into the front of the thigh or the deltoid region. Intravenous administration is strictly contraindicated.

After vaccination, it is recommended:

  • to observe a calm regime;
  • measure body temperature;
  • observe the child's behavior.

Before vaccination, it is recommended to examine the child and exclude contact with SARS patients. Patients should be under medical supervision for 30 minutes after administration of the vaccine.

  • What are the indications for the Infanrix IPV IBD vaccine?

    Combined vaccine for prevention:

    • diphtheria;
    • tetanus;
    • whooping cough (acellular component);
    • poliomyelitis;
    • diseases caused by Haemophilus influenzae type b.

    The vaccine is used in children aged 2 months and older.

  • What are the contraindications to the Infanrix IPV IBD vaccine?

    Contraindication:

    • Hypersensitivity to any component of the vaccine.
    • If a neurological complication was detected after previous vaccination.
    • Vaccination is not given to children who have diseases accompanied by fever.
    • Seizures in history.
    • Children suffering from uncontrolled epilepsy.
    • Encephalopathy within 7 days after previous vaccination with a vaccine containing a pertussis component.

  • What are the side effects of Infanrix IPV IBD vaccine?

    After vaccination can be observed:

    • Irritability and/or drowsiness,
    • loss of appetite,
    • An increase in temperature,
    • Redness,
    • Rash,
    • Pain and/or swelling at the injection site,
    • Diarrhea.

    In the presence of mechanical inclusions or a strange color of the solution, the use of the vaccine is unacceptable.
