Use of Havriks-720 vaccine


The vaccine should be administered intramuscularly, from 1 year to 18 years inclusive 0.5 ml, from 19 years 1.0 ml. For younger children, the vaccine must be injected into the quadriceps muscle of the thigh, older children are allowed to inject the vaccine into the deltoid muscle. Intravenous administration is categorically contraindicated. It is strictly forbidden to inject the vaccine into the gluteal muscle, subcutaneously and intradermally, intravenously.

Before vaccination, an examination of the child is indicated, to exclude contact with SARS patients.

Patients should be under medical supervision for 30 minutes after administration of the vaccine.

  • What are the indications for Havriks-720 vaccine?

    The vaccine is intended for immunization against viral hepatitis A from the age of 1, does not prevent the development of hepatitis of other types (B, C, E).

  • What are the contraindications to the Havrix-720 vaccine?

    Hypersensitivity to any component of the vaccine, if a neurological complication was detected after previous vaccination.

    Vaccination is not given to children who have diseases accompanied by fever.

  • What are the side effects of Havrix-720 vaccine?

    After vaccination can be observed:

    • loss of appetite
    • irritability,
    • drowsiness,
    • nausea,
    • diarrhea,
    • temperature rise,
    • redness,
    • rash,
    • pain and swelling at the injection site.

    In the presence of mechanical inclusions or a strange color of the solution, the use of the vaccine is unacceptable.
