Use of Pentaxim vaccine
The vaccine should be administered intramuscularly, in the thigh or deltoid muscle. It is strictly forbidden to administer the vaccine intravenously, subcutaneously and intradermally.
Before vaccination, an examination of the child is indicated, to exclude contact with SARS patients.
Patients should be under medical supervision for 30 minutes after administration of the vaccine.

What are the indications for Pentaxim vaccine?
Vaccine for primary immunization of children from 2 months of age against diphtheria, tetanus, whooping cough, poliomyelitis and invasive infections caused by Haemophilus influenzae type b, for revaccination.
Pentaxim does not provide protection against infections caused by other types of Haemophilus influenzae, as well as against meningitis caused by other microorganisms.

What are the contraindications to the Pentaxim vaccine?
Hypersensitivity to any component of the vaccine or reaction to the pertussis component, if a neurological complication has been detected after previous vaccination.
Vaccination is not given to children with a history of convulsions, diseases accompanied by fever, as well as children suffering from epilepsy and encephalopathy.

What are the side effects of Pentaxim vaccine?
After vaccination can be observed:
- drowsiness
- loss of appetite
- nervousness
- abnormal crying
- vomit
- diarrhea
- temperature increase
- redness
- sealing at the injection site
- pain at the injection site
In the presence of mechanical inclusions or a strange color of the suspension, the use of the vaccine is unacceptable.
