The vaccine should be injected intramuscularly or subcutaneously .

The recommended intramuscular injection site for children aged 6 to 35 months is the anterolateral thigh (or the deltoid muscle if muscle mass is sufficient), and for children aged 36 months and older the deltoid muscle .

Annual influenza vaccination is recommended. Before vaccination, an examination is indicated, to exclude contact with SARS patients.

Patients should be under medical supervision for 30 minutes after administration of the vaccine.

  • What are the indications for the Vaxiflu tetra vaccine?

    Vaxiflu Tetra vaccine is indicated for the prevention of influenza caused by the two subtypes of influenza A virus and the two types of influenza B virus contained in this vaccine for:

    • active immunization of adults, including pregnant women, as well as children aged 6 months and older;
    • passive protection of infants under 6 months of age whose mothers were vaccinated during pregnancy.

  • What are the contraindications to the Vaxiflu tetra vaccine?

    Hypersensitivity to any component of the vaccine, to the components of chicken eggs, if complications were detected after previous vaccination.

    Vaccination is not given to children who have acute infectious diseases accompanied by fever, progressive diseases (acute or chronic).

  • What are the side effects of the Vaxiflu tetra vaccine?

    After vaccination can be observed:

    • Headache;
    • Increased sweating;
    • Pain in the joints;
    • Increase in temperature;
    • Redness;
    • Consolidation;
    • Itching at the injection site.

    In the presence of mechanical inclusions or a strange color of the suspension, the use of the vaccine is unacceptable.
