DTPa vaccination is a whole-cell adsorbed pertussis-diphtheria-tetanus vaccine, consisting of a suspension of whole killed pertussis microbial cells and purified diphtheria and tetanus toxoids, which is administered intramuscularly.
As a result, the child produces antibodies that contribute to the formation of immunity to diphtheria , whooping cough , and tetanus .
Active prevention of diphtheria, pertussis, and tetanus.
Formation of immunity against diphtheria and tetanus for 10 years, against whooping cough - for 5-7 years.
Acute illnesses , intolerance to vaccine components ( pertussis component ) and severe immunodeficiency, serious heart and kidney diseases.
Vaccination is temporarily or absolutely contraindicated in case of progressive pathology of the nervous system, as well as in cases where seizures have occurred that are not associated with fever.
In this case, a vaccine without a pertussis component ( ADP ) is used.
For children aged 2, 4, 6 and 18 months.
Revaccination is carried out at 6 years and every subsequent 10 years.
Sleep disturbance , restlessness , fever , redness , pain at the injection site , sometimes a lump appears (may persist for a month), which does not cause discomfort.
