Indications for conducting the study
- abdominal pains of various nature;
- stool disorders (constipation, diarrhea, irregular stool, change in consistency);
- pain in the lower back;
- intolerance to fatty food;
- increased gas formation;
- yellowing of the skin and sclera of the eyes;
- deviations in the results of blood, urine, stool tests;
- a feeling of bitterness in the mouth;
- nausea and frequent belching;
- intestinal discomfort;
- a change in the size of any organ detected during palpation;
- pains and cuts during urination;
- frequent urination;
- blood and/or protein in the urine;
- injuries;
- cystic manifestations;
- presence of inflammatory processes;
- suspicion of a neoplasm;
- for preventive purposes;
- before surgery.

How to prepare for examination of abdominal organs
The study is carried out in the morning, on an empty stomach, the use of plain still water is allowed. Children under 3 years old and people suffering from diabetes can come after a light meal. If the study is scheduled for the afternoon, you can have breakfast, but the break between food and ultrasound should be at least 6 hours. Two days before the study, exclude from the diet legumes, cabbage, radish, grapes, apples and apple juice, carbonated drinks, grape juice, black bread, milk, sweets, dill. Adults are recommended to drink about 1 liter of still water one hour before the examination of the urinary system. Children should be given water to drink 20 minutes before the ultrasound. Do not urinate before the procedure. Ultrasound is performed transabdominally.
