Stool analysis for dysbacteriosis

What you need to know about analysis
A stool analysis for dysbacteriosis is a stool analysis that assesses the state of the intestinal microflora.
Often after suffering from diseases, taking certain medications, the number of "beneficial" bacteria in the intestinal microflora can change. At this time, pathogenic bacteria, fungi and bacilli may appear in their place, which provoke various intestinal diseases. The analysis helps to diagnose the ratio of beneficial bacteria (lactobacteria, bifidobacteria) and conditionally pathogenic organisms (staphylococcus, Escherichia coli, Proteus, fungi of the genus Candida, enterobacteria, etc.).
How to prepare for the analysis
There is no special preparation for a stool analysis for dysbacteriosis. A sterile container is used to collect stool, which can be purchased at a pharmacy or the “Mother’s House” clinic.
Feces are collected in the form of 1 teaspoon after a natural defecation. For the collection of feces, it is strictly forbidden to do an enema, use laxatives and antidiarrheal drugs, use rectal suppositories for 4-5 days. In case of taking a course of antibiotics, probiotics, feces are collected 2-3 weeks after taking them. Avoid getting urine and discharge from the genitals into the feces.
After stool collection, the material must be delivered to the laboratory within 2 hours.
