Fecal analysis per I/g (once) is a fecal analysis, which is the most accessible and informative method of diagnosing the presence of helminth eggs in fecal masses in the lower parts of the digestive tract.

Indications for analysisdetermination of the presence of helminth eggs and protozoan parasites; monitoring the effectiveness of treatment against parasites; decreased appetite, weight loss; blood and mucus in feces; prolonged constipation; itching in the area of the anus; intestinal disorders; flatulence.

How to prepare for the analysis?There is no special preparation for stool analysis. A sterile container is used to collect feces, which can be purchased at a pharmacy or "Mamin Dom" polyclinic. Feces are collected in the form of 1/2 teaspoon after natural defecation. It is forbidden to do an enema to collect feces. Avoid getting urine and genital secretions into the feces. 1 week before taking a stool test for helminth eggs, rectal suppositories and antidiarrheal medications should be stopped.
After stool collection, the material must be delivered to the laboratory within 2 hours.
