Deep fluoridation (1 tooth)
-
Indications for the procedure
- prevention of caries development;
- increased sensitivity of teeth to hot and cold food;
- lack of calcium and fluoride.
The procedure is painless and safe and can be performed even for milk teeth. Fluoridation is shown to children during teething; teenagers due to the growing need for trace elements; pregnant women to preserve and strengthen tooth enamel.
Among the contraindications to deep fluoridation of the teeth is an excess of fluoride in the body, as well as allergic reactions to the fluoridating composition.
Preparation for fluoridation consists in preliminary professional cleaning of teeth from dental plaque and stone. After that, the enamel is covered with a sealing solution and dried. Then the doctor treats the teeth with a special milk, which leads to the formation of calcium fluoride, which easily penetrates into the deep layers and provides a long-term concentration there. 2-3 such procedures are enough to achieve the desired effect.
