Applying a hermetic bandage
Applying a hermetic bandage is a procedure that provides hermetic closure of the damaged cavity in the mouth.
Bandages are applied for 1-14 days.
The following temporary sealing materials are mainly used as hermetic bandages:

Artificial dentin
Artificial dentin is inexpensive, easy to use, provides good sealing of the cavity, does not affect the pulp, does not interact with drugs, does not have a negative effect on the body, and is easy to insert and remove. Bandage made of artificial dentin is applied only for 2-3 days.

Dentin paste (oily dentin)
Dentin-paste (oily dentin) is easy to use, has greater strength than water-based dentin, strength (bandage made of oily dentin can be applied for up to 2 weeks), has an antiseptic effect.
