The recommended single dose of the vaccine is 0.5 ml (for children from birth to 18 years old, the dose for adults is 1 ml). The vaccine is used for deep intramuscular administration in the front of the thigh in younger children and in the area of the deltoid muscle in older children.
Intravenous administration of the vaccine is strictly prohibited . Subcutaneous administration is allowed.
Before vaccination, an examination of the child is indicated, to exclude contact with SARS patients. Patients should be under medical supervision for 30 minutes after administration of the vaccine.
Recombinant vaccine, the main component of which is the purified hepatitis B viral cell antigen (HBsAg), for active immunization to prevent disease caused by all known subtypes of the hepatitis B virus in patients of any age.
Hypersensitivity to any component of the vaccine (as well as to yeast), if complications were detected after previous vaccination.
Vaccination is not given to children who have diseases accompanied by fever. HIV infection is not a contraindication to hepatitis B vaccination.
