Analysis of urine according to Zimnytskyi

There is no special preparation for urine analysis according to Zimnytskyi. Urine collection takes place during the day, you need to collect 8 portions of urine. For this, you will need 8 sterile containers. Before collecting urine, the child must perform a thorough toileting of the genitals. One day before sampling, it is not recommended to eat foods that can change the color of urine (carrots, beets, rhubarb, bay leaves), salty and fatty foods. It is forbidden to take diuretics. You need to eat and drink normally (drink at least 15.2 liters of liquid, including soups and jelly). The day before the test, you should stop taking any medications. Do not overcool or overheat.

The first portion of urine after waking up is not collected. Urine is collected every three hours in a separate jar:
from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.;
from 12-00 to 15-00;
from 15:00 to 18:00;
from 18:00 to 21:00;
from 21-00 to 24-00;
from 0-00 to 3-00;
from 3:00 a.m. to 6:00 a.m.;
from 6-00 to 9-00 in the morning.

If there is no urge to urinate within three hours, the jar is left empty. On the contrary, if the jar is full before the end of the 3-hour period (for example, with polyuria), the patient urinates in an additional container (but does not pour urine into the toilet).
On the day of the study, it is also necessary to measure the daily amount of liquid consumed, which is in food products.
Urine collected for analysis should be stored in the refrigerator. After collecting the last portion of urine, it is necessary to send it to the laboratory.
