Blood group + Rh factor
In the human body, in addition to cells and blood plasma, there is a unique combination of antigens (about 250) located on the surface of erythrocytes. Antigens are combined in the order of 30 antigenic systems. The most important systems are the AB0 system and the Rhesus factor system (a special agglutinogen protein). The AB0 system defines 4 blood groups, while the Rhesus factor system defines two values: negative (Rh -) and positive (Rh+).

How to prepare a child for analysis?
The analysis is recommended to be carried out on an empty stomach, it is not advisable to eat fatty food a day before the analysis. Before taking the test, you need to get a good night's sleep and stop taking methyldopa, levodopa (as agreed with your doctor) on a regular basis to avoid distorting the results. Do not drink tea, coffee, juices before the examination. As an exception, the child can be given water to drink. A blood test is taken from a finger. Before taking, the injection site is lubricated with a napkin containing alcohol. If the child has a fear of blood, dizziness may occur, it is necessary to warn the medical staff.
