In the human body, in addition to cells and blood plasma, there is a unique combination of antigens (about 250) located on the surface of erythrocytes. Antigens are combined in about 30 antigenic systems. The most important systems are:

How to prepare for the analysis?
It is recommended to perform the analysis on an empty stomach. It is not advisable to eat fatty foods the day before the analysis. Before taking the analysis, you need to:
- Get a good night's sleep
- Stop taking regular medications (with the doctor's approval) such as methyldopa and levodopa to avoid distorting the results.
You should not drink tea, coffee, or juices before the test. As an exception, you can give your child water to drink.
The blood test is taken from a finger. Before taking the sample, the injection site is lubricated with a napkin containing alcohol.
If a child has a fear of blood or experiences dizziness, it is imperative to notify the medical staff ( pediatrician ).
